Haas, Carrie King - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Carrie L. Haas of RR 4, Veedersburg, age 90, died early Tuesday, March 23, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Fountain County, August 5, 1891, the daughter of George and Linnie King. September 10, 1910, she married Ray Haas, who preceded her in death.

  Survivors include three daughters, Marie Rennick of Independence, Maxine Fix and Alura Dodrill, both of Attica; a son, Bennie of Hillsboro; 20 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and a niece, Hilda Biddle of South Bend. A daughter, Vernice Biggs and a son, Alva, also preceded her in death.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. – thanks to S
